Humble Beginnings

In 2013, Purpose Brands 414 founder and CEO Jessica Uranga envisioned an elevated thrift shopping experience designed specifically for men. The idea emerged during a practical season of life—newly married, raising young children, and stewarding a tight budget—as her husband Eric prepared for a new role at Walmart Home Office and struggled to find affordable, thrifted clothing that matched his style and sense of dignity.

While Northwest Arkansas offered thoughtful, curated thrift options for women, similar experiences for men were largely missing. In that gap, Bold Lives was born—rooted in the belief that men deserve a memorable shopping experience without financial strain or buyer’s remorse.

Today, that original vision meets a cultural moment. Bold Lives Men’s Thrift exists to honor men, meet them where they are, and equip them for what’s next.

The Work We Do

Bold Lives exists for men from every walk of life and background.
In partnership with select organizations, Bold Lives provides in-kind clothing support for men facing immediate challenges such as recovery, loss, displacement, reentry, or crisis.

At our core, Bold Lives is about helping men step forward—whatever their starting point.

Bold Lives Men’s Thrift rests upon a simple conviction: men are created by God with inherent dignity, strength, and a calling that runs deeper than circumstance. Scripture reminds us to “be strong and courageous” (Joshua 1:9) and that “the righteous are bold as a lion” (Proverbs 28:1). These words are not demands to become something we are not; they are invitations to live out what God has already placed within us.

Our desire is not to correct men nor remake them, but to walk beside them with honor. Bold Lives stands as an outfitter for the journey, a companion that equips men for the road ahead. Here, clothing becomes more than a necessity; it becomes a reminder of calling, resolve, and the steady grace of God.
